The Plains of the Lion King

Driving towards Nairobi, the time nearing dawn, suddenly I see where they found the landscape for the plains of the Lion King movie. There is some postproduction here, but it’s not difficult to se the resemblance. The color is about right, the ligt falls about the same angle. Cartoonland exists on the plains of Africa.

    Wow, awesome landscape… and the sun ray lighting up the ground below, you’re right .. reminds of the plains in the Lion King movie. Great capture, very cool

    The light is wonderful! We specifically like the darkness, almost completely dark front and then the illuminated sky.
    Nice work!! And we suppose you were humming the song??
