I’ve just read through the “Digital SLR Photo” magazine, and see that when commenting on submitted images, they often comment on burnt out lights, and see it as a distraction. I thought that there was a point in showing the source of the light on the plant, but maybe you’re right. I’ll try a cropped version and post it here.

All the details, the light and color is wonderful!
We would have cropped it a bit on the top, reduced the “sun” about 50%, to make a better focus on the flower as we find the right upper corner to be a “eye catcher”.

Thanks, Marcie. I found the title appropriate myself;-).
Simen: Merkelig er det rette ordet. Her er det verken snakk om filter i CS eller høy ISO. Bildet er tatt på 1/800 sekund ved ISO100. Når du så får vite at det er i solnedgangen, skjønner du sikkert at dette først og fremst handler om et undereksponert bilde som har fått en etterbehandling med eksponering og fargemetning, i tillegg til justering av både skygger og høylys.
To both of you: I’m glad you liked the details. This was a shot that was a little amiss at the outset, but a bit of postprocessing gave me this somewhat better image.

Merkelig bilde; først virket det veldig mørkt og Flatt, men desto mer jeg så på det jo mer detaljer kom frem! Tøft! Har du brukt filter i PS eller er bildet tatt ved høy iso jf. kornene i bakgrunnen?
